Product informations

This project focuses on the co-design from architectural, historical and social science perspectives. Research has shown that innovations in architecture rarely fail due to poor technology, but rather because they do not sufficiently meet the needs and expectations of users, or do not align with changing social, cultural or economic contexts. Historical shortcomings, failures and societal dynamics in the industrially produced architecture of the 1960-70s will be reconsidered, through characterizing co-design-enabled novel building typologies, and by examining the interactions between the emerging paradigm of integrative design and construction in computational architecture, stakeholder concerns and expectations, competing narratives, and necessary organizational rearrangements.
